Welcome to the Tree of All Seasons Young Filmmakers Camp, a one-week-long comprehensive, interactive, and in-depth experience in film for students currently in grades 6-8. Students will gain practical experience in acting for the camera, screenwriting, cinematography, sound recording, and film lighting by participating in the filming and production of two short films. These will be presented to the public at a special screening at the end of the summer.

The camp will be structured into two units of 6-10 students. Each unit will engage in the creation of one original short film. Each participating student will be cast in one of the films in a principal or supporting role and placed on a technical crew for the other film.

 

Camp Details

 

Dates:
Monday through Friday, June 12 - June 16th.
OPTIONAL Field Trip to Advanced Level Film Shoot: The following week, students will be invited to
observe a film shoot run by the High School Film Camp.

Time and Location:

Monday-Tuesday: Pre-Production days will take place at Parkside Church or Beech Acres Park from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Wednesday-Friday: Shooting days will begin at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm. They may take place at a different location in the Anderson Township area, depending on decisions made by the students and Directors during Pre-Production. Parents will be informed of any location changes and will be responsible for transporting their student to and from that location.

What to Bring:

Students should bring a lunch, snack, and filled water bottle each day. Props and costume pieces will be requested, depending on decisions made by the students and Directors during Pre-Production.
 

Cost: $300 per student. This includes a Camp T-Shirt.
Early Bird Registration: Save $50 per student if you register and pay in full by February 1st, 2023.
